Weekend Mindfulness & Gentle Yoga Retreat at Glenthorne's Quaker House, Grasmere, August 7th- 9th, 2020
Glethorne Quaker centre is a beautiful space, enveloped in nature.
The intention of this retreat is to provide a safe space to rest and rejuvenate through mindfulness and gentle yoga with like- minded people. All are welcome- whether you are an experienced mindfulness practitioner or a beginner. I hope you will feel nourished, rested and refreshed. Some activities will be outside, so make sure you bring suitable outdoor clothing!
Check in can be from 2pm on August 7th, giving you time to settle in and enjoy the setting. You are also welcome to park up at Glenthorne before 2pm and enjoy the scenery.
All of the activities are optional. Times of activities may vary slightly at the time of the retreat.
Friday 7th August
4:30 pm- Yoga Nidra (Yogic sleep) - meditation
6:30 pm- Evening meal
Saturday 8th August
7:45 am- Gentle Hatha Yoga
9 am – Full breakfast
10 am- Mindfulness practices
Break at some point
1 pm- Lunch and free time
3:15 pm Yin yoga and mindfulness practices
5:30 pm- Free time
6:30 Evening meal
8 pm– Yoga Nidra
Sunday 9th August
7:45 am Gentle Hatha Yoga
9 am – Breakfast
10 am – Check out of room
10:30- Bringing the weekend to a close with meditations
12 pm – Close.
The full cost of the weekend is £250 and includes all the above and a private
En-Suite room. Meals included in the cost are evening meals and full breakfast.
Lunches are not included in the cost. Some people may wish to eat in Grasmere (5-minute walk away) or you can also order a packed lunch from Glenthorne.
Yin yoga requires supportive props such as bolsters, blocks and yoga mats, blankets and pillows. Please bring your own if you have them.
