Valentine Mindfulness and gentle yoga retreat in Cumbria, February 14th-16th 2020

Treat yourself and/ or a loved one to a meaningful weekend retreat on valentine’s weekend, set in the beautiful surroundings of Howgill Fell, between the Lake District and the Dales.  

This mindfulness and gentle yoga retreat will have a focus on much of the stuff that the phenomena of love encompasses. Beginners or experienced practitioners of mindfulness and yoga are welcome, and you will be comfortable coming on your own or with a friend or partner. The gentle yoga includes hatha Yoga, Yoga Nidra (also known as Yogic sleep). Enjoy the landscape of Howgill Fell in your free time. While there are meditation and yoga activities throughout the weekend, you can dip in and out of them as you like. Included in this 3-day retreat is a body massage or Neal’s Yard facial.



This retreat will be with a small group (maximum 9 people). En-suite shared twin rooms and double rooms are available. Meals are vegetarian.

Getting there:

Located on A683, diagonally opposite The Church of St Mark in Cautley. A few minutes drive from Sedbergh, 10 minutes from Junction 37 of the M6 or 20 minutes from Brough on A66. In Yorkshire Dales.

7:45 pm: Yoga Nidra

Saturday 15th February

8:15 am: Meditation / chanting

9 am: Breakfast

10 am: Yin Yoga

12:30 pm: Lunch


Free time until 4:30 pm

4:30 pm: Mindfulness mediations

6:30 pm: Dinner

7:45 pm: Yoga Nidra / chanting


Sunday 16th February

8:15 am: Hatha Yoga

9 am: Breakfast

10 am: (Inclusive therapy sessions available from 10 am- 3 pm)  

Mindfulness practice / chanting

12:30 Lunch

Free time until 2 pm

2 pm Mindfulness practice/ meditation

3 pm – 4 pm closing of the retreat

Cost of the retreat includes: 3 days and 2 nights stay and all meals: A simple breakfast to start the day and locally made home- cooked lunch and dinner. A massage or Neil's Yard facial for every guest. All mindfulness/ Yoga activities.
