Mindfulness Teacher Training

Mindfulness teacher training is the best way to become a mediation or mindfulness trainer. Our course is led by an experience & knowledgeable mindfulness teacher.

We often get asked questions about Mindfulness & our mindfulness training courses. We have added some answers to these questions below.

What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is being aware of your surroundings and how you feel in them. Sounds simple enough, right? It's not just that though - it's also being able to recognise what you're feeling and understand it, but not letting it control you. Mindfulness is a very personal thing and someone can't tell you how to be mindful - only you know that. Mindfulness is also knowing when things are out of balance - whether that's your body or emotions or thoughts or surroundings.

What are the benefits of mindfulness?

The benefits are different for everyone. Mindfulness has been shown to help with certain mental illnesses but it can also just be used to relax or live in the moment - whatever feels right for you. Mindfulness is something very personal and what works for you might not work well for someone else. Mindfulness does have many scientifically proven benefits though. Mindfulness is also good for those with anxiety as it helps them to feel more in control.  Mindfulness has been seen to help a lot of people reduce stress levels and better their moods.

Who can benefit from mindfulness?

Anyone can benefit from mindfulness - it doesn't matter if you're male, female, old or young. Mindfulness isn't only for adults either - teenagers and younger children can use mindfulness to help deal with stress or anxiety. The amazing part of being a mindfulness teacher is you can improve the lives of a wide range of people.

Sarah, from Essex

"I loved the residential MBSR Teacher Training Course in the Lake District and am delighted to have finished my case study and received my certificate 9 months later

Jilly is a wonderful teacher who embodies mindfulness and offers insights & guidance in an expert way.

I would wholeheartedly recommend her as a Mindfulness Teacher."

Charlotte from Lancashire

“I decided I wanted a career in teaching mindfulness and Jilly from Inessentia had been recommended to me.  I took a residential teacher training course in Grasmere and I have never looked back.  Jilly’s style of teaching was comprehensive and easy to understand.  Throughout the whole process Jilly was only a phone call away for any help and motivation – and still is now that I am qualified.    I am now successfully teaching mindfulness with confidence that the course I chose was absolutely the right one.   We have follow up meetings so you never feel alone.  I can absolutely recommend Jilly to start your mindful journey.”
