200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training
starts August 2022 

This 200 hour yoga teacher training course includes three residential stays, two at Glenthorne Quaker House in Grasmere, and one at Whalley Abbey in Clitheroe (scroll down to see dates and venues). The course will be accredited by The Yoga Alliance, which is recognised world-wide. 

This Yoga Teacher Training course will provide you with a firm foundation and be the springboard into your yoga teaching career. 

An overview of the training includes: Asana, Pranayama, Meditation, Anatomy , Physiology, Biomechanics, History of Yoga, Mantras, Mudras, Yoga Nidra, Philosophy of Yoga, Ethics, Teaching Methodology, Professional Development, Practicum (Practice teaching). 

On successful graduation of this course, you will attain a 200 hour Diploma in Teaching Yoga from Inessentia, and be eligible for entry to the International Yoga Alliance RT200. 180 hours will be in-person teaching and 20 hours will be online. 

 

 Investment for training: £2000 

What is included in the cost: All tuition, assessment, course manual, student support and certificate. 

What is not included in the cost: Transport to and from venues, accommodation and board on residential stays, and text books.

The total additional cost for the full-board residential stays is approximately £1600 and is paid separately to the venues.

 I am quite new to yoga, can I still do the course?

We would recommend you have approximately one year practicing in yoga classes as this will help with your ability to teach.

I am not thinking of teaching yoga. I am interested in taking the course just to learn more about yoga. Is this OK? 

Absolutely! You do not have to be planning on teaching yoga to attend this course. Your are welcome to enrol on the course simply to deepen your practice and learn more about yoga. 

I can't make the next course date, when is the next one?

If you can't make the latest date advertised but are interested in the 200 hour yoga teacher training, please message us. We can ensure you get a space at our next date. 

What is 200 hour yoga teacher training?

Our 200 hour yoga teacher training is a complete training course which ensures you are a fully certified & qualified yoga teacher in the UK. It includes all key aspects of teaching yoga & becoming a yoga teacher. 

Can you be too old to become a yoga teacher?

This is a common question asked online. The simple answer is no. You will find yoga can be beneficial to anyone and different ages, abilities & reasons for partaking in yoga will decide your own teaching style.

Glenthorne residential in Ambleside, the Lake District 

There are two residential stays at Glenthorne Quaker House as part of this course. The dates include: October 31st- November 4th, 2022, and February 12th-21st, 2023.  
Glenthorne is situated in Ambleside, in the Lake District. 
There is an additional cost for board and accommodation which is not included in the course fee.  

Online Yoga

Online training days 

Online training days include: 

October 2nd, 9th, 16th; November 20th, 27th; December 4th. All in 2022.

Whalley Abbey, Clitheroe, Lancashire

The dates for the residential stay at Whalley Abbey include August 26th-30th, 2022. 
The Retreat House is set in the stunning grounds and ruins of a 14th Century Cistercian Abbey. On the banks of the river Calder in the beautiful countryside of the Ribble Valley, but with easy access to motorway and rail networks. 
There is an additional cost for the full board and accommodation which is not included in the course fee.

'This course is for anyone who has developed a yoga practice and has the desire to deepen their knowledge of yoga and / or has the aspiration to teach yoga to others.

Inessentia endeavours to make yoga accessible to all'. 

Refund policy: 

Upon acceptance into the program, the applicant must pay a deposit of £500 to hold applicant’s place in the program. If applicant cancels thirty (30) days or more before the start of the program, the applicant will forfeit £50 of the deposit and the remaining balance will be refunded. If applicant cancels 14-30 days before the start of the program, the applicant will forfeit 50% of the deposit and the remaining balance will be refunded. The program tuition fees are non-refundable. If a student must withdraw from the program for special circumstances, the program may give a partial refund to the student in the exercise of its discretion. The program will not give any refunds or credits after the training starts. The program reserves the right to cancel any training before it begins. In that case any payments applicants have made will be refunded in full.
